LUKE GEHMAN

Personal Trainer

Fitness has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started being physically active at age 8 through karate, began weight training and sports performance training around 13, and once I fell in love with physical activity, I knew I wanted to build a career in the health and fitness industry.

In high school, I enrolled in the Sports Medicine and Rehab Therapy program at Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC), where I studied athletic training, physical therapy, and personal training. During my senior year, I earned my NASM-CPT. After graduating from BCTC, I wanted to further my education of kinesiology and exercise science, which led me to Penn State Berks. During my time here, I completed two internships with AFC, which allowed me to shadow the coaches and learn how to become a great coach. This upcoming May, I am graduating with a B.S. in Kinesiology/exercise science.

Beyond the gym, I stay active by playing rugby, hiking, biking, and going for long walks. When I’m not training or coaching, I enjoy visiting my siblings in NYC, going to the beach or mountains, trying new food spots, watching movies, and hanging out with my pug, Frank.

My ultimate goal as a coach is to help individuals live a better life and find meaning and purpose through physical activity. I believe fitness is about more than aesthetics—it’s a tool for building confidence, resilience, and long-term quality of life.
